| Abstract |
|
Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD) is a r,ew and Increasingly used form of maintenance dialysis therapy here in Korea as well as in the rest of the world. High dropout rates and frequent hos- pitalizations are due mainly to peritonitis and other dialysis-related complications. Socioeconomic factor is. Another reason for high dropout rates in Korea. It is hoped that improved technology and increasing experience will reduce the incidence of peritonitis and dropout rates. Further reduction of costs of CAPD and expansion of health insurance coverage will also- help reduce dropout rates. |
