| Abstract |
|
We have experienced a case of infantile nephrotic syndrome in a 5 months old female girl who presented with vomiting, anuria and generalized edema. Her brother died of the infantile nephrotic syndrome at 4 months of age. We have made the diagnosis of this patient with clinical, laboratory, familial history and renal biopsy. Renal biopsy revealed microcystic tubular change, microglomeruli and marked mesangial proliferation. The patient expired 16 days after admission because of progressive uremia, DIC and pulmonary edema. |
