| Abstract |
|
Mitomycin C has been known to be associated with microangiopathic hemolytic anemia and renal failure. Recently, we experienced a case of mitomycin C- induced hemolytic uremic syndrome. A 57-year-old man was admitted for facial edema and generalized weak- ness, which developed 6 months after administration of mitomycin C. Hematologic, urinary study, and renal biopsy showed typical findings. Careful serial monitoring of renal function and peripheral blood smear is recommended during mitomycin therapy. |
