Abstract
The hemolytic uremic syndrome is characterized by the classic triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia and acute renal failure. Although the illness is uncommon disease, it is a cause of acute oliguric renal failure in children with increasing fre- quency. Recently, we have experienced 3 cases of hemolytic uremic syndrome occurring in bodys in 2, 8 and 14months of age. Diagnosis was established by typical clinical and labo- ratory findings, and in 2 cases, percutaneous renal biop- sy were done. They were completely recovered by supportive care, aspirin and dipyridamole or fresh frozen plasma infu- sion therapy.
