Abstract
Glomerulocystic kidney, a rare form of nonfamilial cystic disease characterized by dilatation of Bownans space and adjacent tubules, is pathologically distinct from other renal cystic disease. This is very rare and combined with classic pathologic features and progres- sive impairment of renal function in some patients. We experienced a case of glomerulocystic disease in a male newborn baby with huge abdominal mass at left side who died within 15 hours after birth during treatment of hyaline membrane disease and persistent fetal circula- tion. Glomerulocystic kidney disease might be considered one of cystic renal disease in patient with abdominal mass.
