Abstract
A case of glomerulolnephritis associated with non- Hodgkins lymphoma are described. The patient pres- ented with purpura, nephrotic syndrome and impaired renal function. The patient had cryoglobulinemia with rheumatoid factor activity, hypocomplementemia, and anti-HCV antibody, and charaterization of the cryoglobulin revealed the presence of a monoclonal IgM kappa component together with polyclonal IgG, Skin biopsy and renal biopsy revealed a leukocytoclastic vasculitis and a typial cryoglobulinemic nephropathy: diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis with monocyte infiltration and subendothelial deposition of IgM, IgG, IgA, and C3. Bone marrow biopsy revealed a small lympholcytic lymphoma: monotonous small sized neoplastic lymphoid cell infiltration. The vasculitis, nephrotic syndrome, and renal function were improved after lymphoma treatment with chemotheraphy.
