Abstract
By ultrafiltration with artificial kindnys, about. 3,300 ml of fluid was removed per treatment from. 9 nephrotic patients with severe edema, intractable- from large deses of furosemide. The average weight. Loss following the treatment was 5.5kg. Fluid removal was argumented by increaaed. Urine output, from 1098ml/day prior, to 1607 ml/ day after treatment. We think this is related with. Increased serum protein concentration after ultr- afiltration. Removal of fluid by ultration is effic- ient and economical in certain nephrotic patienta, and the complication is negligible.
