| Abstract |
|
Two patients developed self-limited hemolytic anemia between second and third week after renal transplantation. All two had received kidneys from their mothers who were blood group 0' and haplo-identical in HLA typing. All two were blood group A' and preoperative cytotoxicity tests were negative. B'.ood bank serolcg,"c tests sl owed a positive direct Coombste:t in all two patients, and ant I-A was identified in one patient(case z), and not checkcd in ancther patient. All two patients were maintained imrr.unosupp- ression with cyclosporine and prednisone. The possible mechanism is autoantibody form- ation by donor kidney. |
