sung kyew kang , kyung lee , sung kwang park
Abstract
Whole gut irrigation has been considered as a rapid, effective, and acceptable method for cleansing the bowel for colon operation. However it may be associated with unusual com- plications, as our case presented. A 36-year-old man was given a large water load during whole gut irriga- tion and developed symptoms of acute water intoxi- cation. When hyponatremia was corrected, the patient's condition returned to normal.
