Abstract
Acute interstitial nephritis is a disease characterized by renal interstitial inflammatory cell infiltration and acute renal functional deterioration. This is caused mainly by antibiotics, NSAID and diuretics such as thiazide, but cases inducued by furosemide are rare. We experienced a case of acute intertitial nephritis in a 24 years old man with nephrotic syndrome after treat- ment with furosemide. After definite diagnosis with renal biopsy, we noted rapid recovery of renal function by drug withdrawal and steroid therapy. So we report this case with a review of the literatures.
